Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Monday April 17th. Click on a stock ticker for more analysis.

Best-of-breed stocks that will supply the BRIC nations with tools and expertise to meet growing raw mineral needs were the focus of tonight's entire show. Cramer's picks:

BHP Billiton (BHP) - Australian company, one of top five producers of most important minerals, also exposed to oil; Cramer called Billiton the "Mad Maxx" of the mineral stocks.

Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX) - Large copper producer from Indonesia; pays a 2.4% dividend (and could also pay a special dividend); also gold exposure;

Rio Tinto (RTP) : Stock has become a pricey of late, but company remains the "metal supermarket to the world." Major industrial nations will require their product for some time.

Manitowoc Company (MTW) Mobile cranes important for mineral extraction.

Terex Corp (TEX) Underappreciated 'midgrade' company -- desirable for its mining equipment.

Caterpillar Inc (CAT) Cramer's "best of breed" pick for the mining sector; broke its union in 90s, so little pension problems; should benefit from US Highway Bill for construction demand; important big machinery source for BRIC nations as they focus more on mining needs.

In the viewer call-in session:

Is BHP a player in uranium with nuclear energy all over the media right now? Cramer: The best uranium play isCameco Corporation (CCJ) and the best nuclear power stock is ABB Ltd. (ABB).

What is the outlook for a pure copper play? Phelps Dodge (PD) is best of breed, and 'it's going higher' according to Cramer; But 'if you want to go pimpin all over the world' then you should consider Southern Copper Corporation (PCU).

How about a high tech play in the minerals sector? Cramer said Joy Global Inc (JOYG) is the company to own for that.

There was no lightning round on tonight's show.
